Three Abu Dhabi defense entities will adopt VentureOne solutions to enhance UAE national defense through agreements signed at IDEX 2025
Abu Dhabi-UAE: 26 February, 2025 – Three leading Abu Dhabi defense technology entities have announced partnerships with VentureOne, the commercialization arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council, that will strengthen the UAE national defense’s electronic warfare capabilities using stealth materials and electromagnetic solutions.
ADASI, a leader in autonomous drone and defense solutions, and Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), a specialist in naval and commercial shipbuilding, will integrate VentureOne’s advanced Stealth Coating, developed by the Technology Innovation Institute, to improve platform resilience, radar signature management, and electronic warfare performance—key requirements for modern defense manufacturers. Both ADASI and ADSB are EDGE Group companies.
Calidus, a leading Abu Dhabi defense technology company, will partner with VentureOne to utilize its electromagnetic compatibility testing services. Similarly, EDGE Group entities—such as NIMR, Halcon, Katim, Al Tariq, and Advanced Concepts—are also collaborating with VentureOne. These partnerships leverage the cutting-edge labs and capabilities of the Technology Innovation Institute to ensure the seamless integration of complex electronic subsystems.
The master agreements were formalized last week at IDEX 2025, the Middle East’s largest military exhibition.
VentureOne’s Stealth Coating is a high-performance radar-absorbing material (RAM) available in multiple forms, offering broadband electromagnetic absorption, lightweight properties, and durability. It enhances stealth for naval and aerial platforms by minimizing radar detection.
VentureOne’s EMC testing ensures subsystems function harmoniously, optimizing performance and resilience against external electromagnetic threats.
"Stealth coatings with broadband electromagnetic absorption, combined with advanced electromagnetic compatibility testing, are highly specialized capabilities in the industry,” said Dr. Chaouki Kasmi, the President of Technology and Innovation at EDGE, and the Chief Innovation Officer at TII. “These solutions enhance survivability and ensure compliance with the highest international standards—a significant step in strengthening the UAE’s technological edge in this critical domain.”
“These partnerships are just the beginning,” added Rodrigo Campos, the Executive Director of Business Development for VentureOne. “VentureOne is taking these breakthrough technologies from research to real-world deployment, ensuring defense forces have access to the most advanced stealth and EMC capabilities available today, and further positioning the UAE as a leader in next-generation defense technologies.”
VentureOne and TII are both part of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), which oversees Abu Dhabi’s R&D ecosystem.
